About Amber
Amber Nichole Dunson is a counseling intern currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Central Florida and later completed an Associate of Science in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.

Before entering the counseling field, Amber spent more than fifteen years working in hospitals and imaging centers as an ultrasound technologist. Through years of caring for patients during vulnerable moments, she developed a deep respect for the relationship between physical health, emotional well-being, and compassionate presence. 
Amber believes the therapeutic relationship is a powerful catalyst for healing one’s relationship with both self and others. She strives to create a steady, nurturing space where clients feel safe to explore their stories and reconnect with themselves. 
Outside of her professional work, Amber enjoys visiting Florida’s natural springs and spending time at the beach with her family and two dogs.

Professional Background
Amber’s professional career includes extensive work in healthcare as a diagnostic medical sonographer, where patient care and emotional support were central to her role.

She has also served as a college instructor in diagnostic medical sonography, preparing students for national registry exams and developing educational curriculum.

Additionally, Amber has worked in community support roles including:
• Client advocate at a crisis pregnancy center
• Manager of a faith-based mobile pregnancy center
• Youth Bible study leader within a church community 
These experiences have shaped her compassionate, relational approach to counseling.
